Picking up the tab 2015

With Tax Day here, it’s important to remember that small businesses end up picking up the tab for offshore tax loopholes used by many large multinational corporations. Conn PIRG released a new study today revealing that the average Connecticut small business owner would have to pay an extra $6,933 in taxes to make up for the money lost in 2014 due to offshore tax haven abuse by large multinational corporations.

U.S. PIRG Response to "Preparing for the Next Pandemic" White Paper

The U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions sought feedback on its white paper entitled, "Preparing for the Next Pandemic." U.S. PIRG's response is that the war against COVID-19 is far from over. As case rates and hospitalizations increase across several states, it’s imperative that Congress plugs the glaring holes in our medical supply chain now.
